David de Rooij - Dutch illustrator / comic artist
David de Rooij (who occasionally teams up with his brother, writer/journalist Johan de Rooij) is a young promising artist who has already been valliantly drawing comics and cartoons for StripSter. Judging from his site, an X-files parody story called 'the X-Fools' in the style of Dutch artists like Gerard Leever and René Uilenbroek seems to be his main accomplishment in the field of comics, and it's slowly appearing online, page by page. His bibliography section also displays some of his other publications, including his entry for the Peter Pontiac Tribute, again, on StripSter.nl.
The site looks nice, is easy to navigate and very obvious in setup. You know what to expect where, and it all looks very pleasing to the eye. The illustrations in his portfolio really show off the range of his drawing abilities, and I wouldn't be surprised if we'll be hearing more from him.
