Comment from author: Yes, of course this is about all the controversy surrounding those Danish cartoons featuring the prophet Mohammed. Myself and Probeersel.com firmly support freedom of speech, explicitly including the right to express impopular opinion. We do not in any way approve of the violence and I have therefor written something about it in last Thursday's ClickBurg newsletter (in Dutch) and am now here also attempting to make a statement. Without, of course, affecting the story itself, because I'm primarily telling the story of this comic. Still, I think every comic artist and cartoonist, nay, every citizen of any democracy anywhere, should be able to express whatever view they want to express, and the current plans to censor the media on a European level are preposterous. So hereby everyone opposing those plans and supporting freedom of speech and freedom of press right now, worldwide, has my support as well. Freedom of speech or bust - away with censorship !
